Reflection

I didn't have time to write this on Sunday because I was taking a statistics test which lasted the entire night. I was able to finish my course project and learned a lot about Brazilian IT infrastructure during the process. I learned a lot about 3 out of the 4 carries used in Brazil. I was also able to join their social networking application and have semi conversations with people. The biggest problem that I faced was the language barrier. Some of the words were similar to spanish while others were not. The OI carrier was the hardest to translate because none of it displayed in English. A friend of mine who is living down there was a large help in my project because she acted as a translator so that I could get my project accomplished as well as interview some locals about their cell phone coverage. She owns a TIM phone so I was able to learn about that a lot. Also for the broadband access she was an invaluable resource because I wouldn't have been able to find out the information she told me about the broadband service and it's reliability.
