Reflection on the past week

This past week was the first back from spring break. There was kinda of a pause in the work for the semester project. In class we hit some topics on various social networks that are used around the world. In my topic, Orkut is mainly used in Brazil and India. Although I had figured this much when I joined the Google based Orkut. The main people on the site were either from Brazil or India with a few others that were spread out. I was reading through some IT forums and users in Brazil were saying that very few of them used Facebook or there were instances where Facebook and Myspace weren't even mentioned or used. Orkut is the number one social networking site used in Brazil. I have created an account and slowly started talking to people using it. I have a strong disadvantage of using the site because I don't speak Portuguese but I have a friend who translates for me so it works out well. I have been using the forums a lot to get information about cell phone coverage in Brazil because finding websites with information in English is very tricky.
